Tottenham gives Gareth Bale new contract

Good news, Gareth Bale fans: he’ll be back at Tottenham next season.
Well, maybe. If his injuries ever clear up. Needless to say the English team has offered Bale a new contract despite his only appearing in 12 games in his debut season. He spent most of the time suffering from injuries (which you can also read about on this site).
Bale had started his season rather well, scoring three goals in his twelve games, including one excellent one against Arsenal. His foot just kept bugging him, though, and by December he was off the field and trying to rehabilitate himself - a rehabilitation that saw him miss Tottenham’s championship win over Chelsea.
He’s since returned for pre-season, where he’s playing well. Chances are good Tottenham’s doing this to keep him from being snagged by any other clubs, but, hey. Tottenham fans aren’t complaining.
